Tri-Cities Canoeing

A little duct tape can go along way. In this case it allowed Dan and me to float from St. Charles to Batavia. Leak? What leak.

Romping

Rolled up to Lind Center with Dan.

Credit to Dan for the first six shots. We decided to take a cruise over to Lake Poygan.

I started out in the Harper College parking lot and made my way over to the east side of Paul Douglas Forest Preserve.

A very large ant hill.

On my way back some cargo helicopters flew over. I think these are Sea Knights but they could be Chinooks.

Today I went to Busse Woods with Dan to get a closer look at the Great Blue Heron Rookery I visited a few weeks ago.

What is this thing?

Mushrooms.

The Herons are nesting this time of year. I'm outgrowing my camera phone.
